Some Photos From Wilderness Wildlife Week!

Drawing Snuffy Smith for a jam-packed room at the LeConte Center in beautiful Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

This past week, for the fourth year in a row, I was a guest of the City Of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at their annual Wilderness Wildlife Week. We had a bodacious time! Thank you Pigeon Forge and thank you Wilderness Wildlife Week!  And I’d also like to especially thank all the wonderful people who came to my programs and/or came up to talk to me at my booth and tell me how much they enjoy the Snuffy Smith comic strip!  I truly appreciate you all!  I hope you all enjoy these photos from the event!

Snuffy’s Headin’ To Pigeon Forge, TN!

One of my favorite memories from last year’s Wilderness Wildlife Week is teaching this young Snuffy Smith fan how to draw Jughaid Smith!

Barney Google and Snuffy Smith Cartoonist, John Rose, will be a guest once again at this year’s Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge, Rose will be in East Tennessee promoting his  Snuffy Smith book and presenting:

Photos From Two Chalk Talks!

Drawing Snuffy’s dog, Ol’ Bullet for the crowd in Monterey.

I really enjoy getting to speak to groups about the Snuffy Smith comic strip.  Recently I was asked to give Snuffy Smith Chalk Talks in Covington, Virginia at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library and then in Monterey, Virginia at the Highland County Regional Library. These two talks were about 10 days apart.  And both talks were in truly beautiful mountain communities in western Virginia.  I really had a fun time and, based on what people told me after the programs,  I know the audiences did, too.  If you think your library, school or community group would like to book me for a Snuffy Smith Chalk Talk, just email your request to me at and put “Snuffy Smith Cartoonist” in the subject line. Here are some photos from the presentations:
