Join Snuffy Smith Cartoonist John Rose For A Chalk Talk In Covington, VA!

Barney Google and Snuffy Smith Cartoonist John Rose will be doing a Snuffy Smith Chalk Talk in Covington, Virginia on Thursday, April 13th at 7:00 pm at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library. The library is located at 406 West Riverside Street in Covington, Virginia. In his chalk talks, Rose shows samples of his work, talks about the rich history of the comic strip, and draws the strip’s most popular characters on a large easel for the audience. King Features Cartoonists Headline NCS Roanoke, Va., Event On Oct. 8

King Features cartoonists Marcus Hamilton (Dennis The Menace dailies), Gary Brookins (Shoe, Pluggers) and John Rose (Barney Google and Snuffy Smith) will be the featured speakers for the Southeast Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society’s annual Fall Meeting in Roanoke, Va., on Saturday, October 8th.
